Requirement :

One of the biggest provider of mutual funds (asset management). The company is one of the biggest player of mutual funds in india. Situation and Requirement: The requirement is to develop a loyalty program for the client. Loyalty programs are structured marketing efforts that reward, and therefore encourage, loyal buying behaviour – behaviour which is potentially of benefit to the firm.

Solution :

As a solution we need to develop 4 interfaces –

ARN/Broker interface where brokers can see their rewards score and hence redeem their points via catalogue(shopping) interface.
Manager interface where top level mangers can have an eye on the performance of the ARN’s falling under their branches. (via roll based interface).
Backoffice interface to process the rewards and delivery of products from the warehouse along with reports.
AUM engine , A windows application also needs to be developed to handle the heavy processing of data (in GB’s) to calculate complex rewards scores and AUM.

We also need to make sure that the calculations are accurate and the logic of the score would change based on running requirement changes. This should basically handle numerous score calculations, automatically addition/deletion of new ARN’s/Brokers/Branches and many vital things.

Role & responsibility :

Our team were responsible for developing this application and hence roll it out. We had to lies with the business people to understand the exact requirement and also research out the solution. This was quite a challenging application since the processing of records in GB’s would take many days to calculate (basically due to multiple interactions) and it had to be very accurate and it had to be constantly updated since the business logic kept on changing.

Apart from this out team were responsible for design and development of the web front ends and backbends having so many modules. we also had to lies with the client servicing person so that they can do their job correctly.
